About me
Hello and welcome to my business! My name is Devan Otton, born and raised from the rural town of Nome, Alaska. I’ve honed my craft in the art of filmmaking and photography, transforming from once a hobby into a flourishing and rewarding profession!
I’m a self-taught photographer and videographer. First started off by sharing my work on social media for fun. Over time, I received positive feedback from my community and this motivated me to make my own business! I asked my loved ones for ideas on naming my business, and they really liked Oksuk Productions. I am grateful to my family, friends, and social media followers for their support!
In 2024 for the first time I started submitting my work in photo competitions! I won first place in the Iditarod Fine Arts Show in the photography category, second place in BSNC Photo Contest for landscapes and got into the Nome Arts Council 2024 Calendar!
2025 so far, I was fortunate enough to win 2nd place in the prestigious Alaska Magazine photo competition, specifically in the Alaska Life category. This significant milestone not only recognizes my dedication and passion for photography but also allows me to showcase my work to a wider audience, highlighting the beauty and diversity of life in Alaska!
